Can we change FML?

Can we change FML?

When living life do you ever wish you could change your FML moments to something else?

**FML is short for F^*k My Life**

Lately there has been a BIG push in my life regarding making small changes. You know; the little things that people claim to add up to results that make your life, well, just better. Like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or giving up pop.

Well, I love my coke and have no desire to give up my occasional guilty splurge into the land of liquid acid that tastes like heaven (my fellow coke drinkers know what I mean!) and I’m not going to ask you to give up your guilty pleasure either. But, if you, like me have a LONGING in your heart to feel less like FML then let’s explore one small change we could both make starting today.

Seriously! I can’t take one more thing on my to-do list!

I don’t know about you, but every day, my kids wear on my sanity, my husband needs my attention, my job stretches my patience level and let’s not even begin to discuss the drain that comes with a call from DFS – and then it’s just one thing, ONE thing, that leads me to that moment of FML.

Now what?!?! A trip to the freezer for ice cream never seems to truly fix this feeling and I’m over it. How can we get from FML to something else? Well, starting today I’m going to make one small change and I hope you will with me. I’m going to change my FML moments to FHL moments. I’m going to choose to see a situation as a Faith, Hope, Love moment, not a Fuck My Life moment.

Faith, Hope, Love

Are you with me?

If so let’s pray that the next time we’re feeling like FML, we’re going to remember that we just need to make one small change – FHL – Faith, Hope, Love, and by doing so we might find the power through Christ that can change everything.

Ready to dig deeper into making the FHL change? Want to connect what you are reading about here with the Bible? Comment below to get the first copies of my downloadable free 3-week mini-devotional about Faith, Hope and Love; coming in 2018.

I know exactly what you mean! I too have some Aspergers kids in my life and they do have a gift for making things feel big. 😉
